Using Technology in my own Class!

How will Technology be used in My Class?

When I have my own classroom, I will use technology to:

Help the students see different perspectives, look through a different lens.

Show them places, and things they wouldn't otherwise be able to see.

Learn skills, and how to survive in the Web 2.0 world.
These are the basic skills they will need when they graduate.

Experiences I have already had in using technology:
When I was a student, the only technology we really used was the occasional powerpoint presentation, and even those were very rare - the OHP was used to the greatest effect. Since I have been here at BYUH I have had more opportunities to use technology in giving presentations, and teaching lessons. The main way I have used technology has been through PowerPoints, but since taking this class I have been able to learn more skills, and understand the world that my students will be entering demands they have the skills to use technology. I will use blogs, wiki's, Prezi's, camera's, video's, etc to teach them, and also for them to show me their knowledge.
